Clik here to view.New Jersey may be one of the bluer states in the nation, but you couldn't tell it from the Democrats falling all over themselves to endorse Republican Gov. Chris Christie for re-election. Essex County is the state's second most Democratic county and there today 23 Democratic elected officials and community leaders endorsed him. That includes county Executive Joseph DiVincenzo, a power broker in that part of the state. In Essex County, Democrats outnumber Republicans nearly five-to-one. It is one of only two counties in the state where registered Democrats outnumber unaffiliated voters. In 2009, Christie received 27 percent of the vote in Essex County compared with 67 percent for then-Gov. Corzine, a Democrat. Christie also received today the endorsements of 12 leaders of the state’s African American clergy community. You have to wonder how this is being received by
