Democrats are lying to taxpayers about their plan to cut property taxes 20 percent, according to Gov. Christie who says, it's in the fine print. The governor explains the Democrats' plan is really an 8 percent cut because "all those other property tax relief programs we have now, homestead rebate and all the rest of them, they collapse them and they use that money plus an income tax increase to fund their 20 percent plan." He also said Assembly Democrats John Wisniewski, Lou Greenwald and Joe Cryan want to increase your gasoline tax.
The Democrats' response was ... subject, verb, millionaires' tax. But, as usual, they didn't explain why they let the last millionaires' tax die and in the three weeks before Christie took over from Jon Corzine didn't bother to get another one passed although they did load the hopper with a bunch of useless crap. The Democratic Legislature could have passed it and Corzine would have signed it. But they wanted to wait and use this against Christie and even though no one is buying this malarkey, they keep trying.
